Bach. He composed these simple pieces, with strong melodies, for her amusement in her limited practice time. The original version was written for harpsichord, but has been arranged for guitar using all the original notes. The trills are left to the taste of the performer, but be sure to accent the first note and make sure the others are smoothly executed and completed in one beat. Do not carry over the trill to the next beat, or delay the next beat. The harpsichord had no dynamics: no volume levels or different timbres. On the guitar, however, the second section can be used for sweeter tones, by moving the right hand nearer to the neck. Try increasing the volume on ascending scales (measures 21 and 29) for variety.
