When I started I thought that it would be a simple and quick edit of the first Tabledit version, but I found a great number of discrepancies. I conpared the version with Merle's recording and found they didn't quite match. I don't believe that Merle ever played anything the same way twice. Marcel's version is quite nice, also.

Measure 10: On the 2nd half of beat 3 there is a G natural. I missed it the first time I transcribed this, but it's definitely there.

Measure 45 is a problem. If one counts the number of measures in this section it comes up to 11. It is highly unusual to have 11 measures in a section as the ear expects 8, 10, 12, etc. What I believe is that as Merle was improvising and alone, he momentarily lost track of where he was. And he recovered by sliding through the measure down to the F# chord on the 9th fret. I spent more time analyzing and studying this measure than I did for rest of the tune. This is the only answer I could come up with. Try playing the tune by omitting this measure and one sees that it works just fine. Too bad we don't have some other versions of Merle playing this tune.

As with anything I submit, I welcome comments, changes, additions, suggestions, etc..  Hope you enjoy this.c0w %).38 %).38Merle Travisar c0w %).38 %).38Timing/Chordsr 001121110000=007:>899<>7F000P042S0/01000000000001EE1.1111100::::H<0000010000000000000000V0000000Page &p/&nn&c&2&t &c&6&s &r&3&m&r&3&t - &3&s
